Minting an NFT involves turning a digital file (image, video, audio, etc.) into a unique token on the blockchain. Here's the step-by-step process:

  1. CHOOSE A BLOCKCHAIN - Select the blockchain where your NFT will be minted. Popular choices include:
    i. Ethereum (ERC-721, ERC-1155)
    ii. Solana (SPL tokens)
    iii. Polygon (Layer-2 for Ethereum)
    iv. BNB Chain
    v. Tezos, Avalanche, etc.
  2. SET UP A CRYPTO WALLET - You'll need a wallet to store and interact with the NFT's. Popular wallets include:
    i. Metamask (Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain)
    ii. Phantom (Solana)
    iii. Trust Wallet.
  3. CHOOSE AN NFT MARKETPLACE OR MINTING PLATFORM (NEONMINT) - Select a platform that supports NFT minting, such as:
    i. NeonMint (In development)
    ii. OpenSea (Ethereum, Polygon, Solana)
    iii. Blur (Ethereum)
    iv. Magic Eden (Solana, Polygon, Ethereum).
  4. UPLOAD YOUR DIGITAL ASSET - Once on the platform:
    i. Click "Create" or "Mint"
    ii. Upload your file (JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MP3, etc.)
    iii. Add metadata: Name, description, attributes, royalties, supply (1/1 or multiple editions).
  5. MINT THE NFT (Confirm Transaction)
    i. Click "Mint" or "Create"
    ii. Approve the transaction in your wallet (gas fees apply - but cheaper with NeonMint)
    iii. Once confirmed, the NFT is Minted and stored on the blockchain.
  6. LIST OR STORE THE NFT -
    i. If selling, set a price (fixed, aunction, or offer-based)

How to Create an NFT profile on NeonMint

Creating an NFT profile on NeonMint allows you to buy, sell, mint and showcase your NFTs. Here's a step-by-step guide to set up your profile:

  1. SET UP A CRYPTO WALLET - You need a web3 wallet to interact with NeonMint. Supported wallets include:
    i. Metamask (Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain).
    ii. Phantom (Solana).
    iii. Coinbase wallet.
    iv. WalletConnect (for mobile wallets like trust wallet).
  2. CONNECT TO NEONMINT -
    i. Go to NeonMint’s Website.
    ii. Click "Profile" in the top-right corner.
    iii. Choose "Connect Wallet" and select your wallet (e.g, Metamask/Phantom). iv. Approve the connection in your wallet.
  3. CUSTOMIZE YOUR PROFILE - Once your wallet is connected:
    i. Click on your profile icon (top-right).
    ii. Select "Setings".
    iii. Edit your bio (Short description about you) - Profile picture (Recommended: 400x400px) - Banner Image (Recommended: 1400x400px) - Social links (Twitter, Discord, Website, etc.)
    iv. Click "Save" and approve any transactions(if required).
  4. VERIFY YOUR PROFILE (Optional but Recommended)- If you're launching an NFT collection and want verification (blue checkmark), you must:
    i. Have a strong social media presence linked to your profile.
    ii. Appply for verification through NeonMint’s support page after meeting our criteria.
  5. START MINTING OR COLLECTING NFTs - Now that your profile is set up, you can:
    i. Mint your own NFTs
    ii. Buy NFTs from collections.
    iii. List your NFTs for sale.
